When will I have to re-apply for the US ESTA?

The US ESTA approvals will in general be granted for a period of 2 (two) years or until the applicant's passport expires, whichever one is sooner. Your US ESTA will show the validity dates. So remember that you must apply for a new ETA when your previous ESTA expired or when you have a new passport.
